Kauai 2021

Exploring the Tropical Gardens of Hawaii

Fun Along the Ocean

We traveled to Kauai in 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic. Our start to our vacation had a rocky start as the day before we attended my aunt's wedding in which the after party ended around two in the morning. Our flight was at noon which meant we had to clean everything up as the wedding was hosted in our backyard. My aunt and uncle were late showing up, but we got everything put away in time. Arriving at the airport, we forgot to bring my vaccination card in which we needed proof that we were vaccinated before going through security and we didn't bring our car as we got dropped off. We called my aunt and she had to bring my vaccination card making us run late for our gate. In the end, we made it just in time as we were the last family to board the plane. It was the most stressed I had seen myself and my family as we were all messes by the end of it.

Arriving on the island, the weather was a mix between heavy rain and sun as Kauai often experienced the most rain. We arrived to our hotel around one in the morning and spent most of our first day of vacation walking on nearby beaches and swimming in the ocean. In my opinion I think Kauai has the prettiest beaches in Hawaii as the water was super clear and blue.

The nature there was beautiful as we saw grand cliffs on the small island and tropical plants and animals. I mainly enjoyed the ocean as the water was warm enough to go fully swimming. There were coral reefs, sea turtles, and exotic fish that are not native back at home. I found this island to be one of the most beautiful islands of Hawaii and I would come here again in the future.
